Nicki Evans has only been racing for about 2 years, but she has made huge advances in this
short time period. What started with going to a Karting Class has turned into quite the career
for this young racer.

Nicki started racing karts in 2005 and won her first championship that same year in the
Purestock Class at Kam Kartway in Texas. She was also voted “Most Improved Jr. Driver”
that same year. In the summer of 2006 Nicki raced in the QRC Super Stock Series and placed
2nd in points.

Nicki has a love to “Go Fast”, so naturally she has advanced to racing faster Semi-Pro Legend
Cars. The only racer in the family, Nicki started racing because she thought it looked fun to
race. In fact, one of the biggest influences for Nicki to pursue racing came from watching
NASCAR. So when she first got behind the wheel to race, her reaction was “let’s go racin”

Nicki may still be young to the sport, but she already shows a maturity beyond her years.
Before she races, Nicki will look at the track and visualize her marks and what she will do
during a crash. She is always thinking ahead. Nicki has also gained the respect of her male
counterparts on and off the track; most are older and have been racing for many more years.
Nicki knows when to give that extra room or when to back down, and races clean. But that is
not to say that this Driver will just move over. Nicki will offer an opportunity, but not for
long. So if her competitor does not act fast enough, expect Nicki to shut the door…and if she
is faster you can expect a friendly tap on the rear bumper with a swift cross over move to make
the pass. Nicki is out there to win too!

Currently racing for Angel Girl Racing & Cherokee Racing, Nicki has already logged 14 races
in 2007 at such tracks as Texas Motor Speedway, Houston Motorsports Park, Red River
Speedway and Thunder Hill Raceway. Her best finish is 2nd, but Nicki knows that the
checkered flag is only a matter of time before she claims it. With 25 laps in each feature race
plus all the heat race laps and getting to and from the track, Nicki has a rather full schedule.
But even with her tight racing calendar, Nicki still finds the time to do well in school, which
includes 2 advanced placement classes in Biology and World Geography. Nicki even has
earned a Black Belt in Tai-Kwon-Do!

With the full and tireless support from her Mom and Dad, Nicki is living the dream. “Nicki is
always smiling” says her Mom. “People always come up and tell me that. Other drivers and
even her friends have indicated that Nicki is an inspiration to them”. Nicki’s Mom tells us that
even with all that is going on in her life with her racing, and with great grades in school, and
with all the traveling to and from the track she still is just a kid. “I see her listen to her IPod,
or talk on her Cell Phone with her friends, or dance around like teenagers do when we are at
the track, and have to remember that she is still just a kid”.

This kid has set her goals early and high…she intends to be the first female Daytona 500
winner. With everything she has done already, we have no doubt she will not only achieve this
goal, but plenty more beyond that. You can read more about Nicki on her
