| Alissa Geving has been around racing for as long as she can remember! Even when Alissa was in the womb, she was her Dad's biggest fan! He raced sprint cars for fourteen years, and Alissa wasn't one to miss a single race!! After she was born, Alissa went to every show, watching her dad through the good, the bad and the ugly! Alissa was always by his side or in the stands screaming her head off! Alissa explains… My Dad has always been my hero. I still remember the joy I felt when I was standing next to him, holding the trophy in the winners circle, looking at his "fresh out of the car" look. SO proud to be his daughter, I would be furious when other kids asked for his autograph. To be on the road to accomplish what my dad already has, makes me the proudest racer you can ever meet. Now that I am racing Outlaws Sprint Karts, with my Dad and Mom by my side, I am finally following his footsteps. Being the cautious parents that they are, my mom and dad made me start my racing career in beginner box stock at age 12. I beat all of the kids in that class, by my age and height! So after a few races, I decided to move onto box stocks. Box stocks were a struggle, since I was still much bigger then all of the kids, due to my late start. As I began racing YZ250's when I was about 13, I really realized how fun racing can actually be!! I was competitive since the kids were my age, and I really started feeling the power!! I won in this class after about 5 races. My first season racing my 250, I received rookie of the year at Lakeport, and second in points. After a season, the power of the YZ250 wasn't enough, so I upgraded to an YZ450. It was a blast, and I got to race with the CR500s!! I won a race with my 450, and was having the time of my life. As I raced throughout the second season in my 450, I decided to move it up to the top notch. My dad set me up in a CR500 at Red Bluff, and this is when I fell in love! I have been racing 500's ever since, in Red Bluff in the winter, and Cycleland in the summer. Just recently, my family bought 2 sprint cars, which I will be racing at Petaluma Speedway during the summer. I am really excited to finally do what my Dad had done, and experience all of the fun of an 800 horsepower machine! I cannot wait to watch my career grow, as I try new things, and race more races!
